Hold a Forest Gathering

Forest Gatherings are unique, place-based experiences that build trust, enhance relationships, and build understanding to support stronger collaboration. These Gatherings bring together Tribal and other local land and water stewards with state and federal leaders for relationship-building, shared learning, and meaningful, hands-on restoration work. We will work with your budget. Cost should not be a barrier.

  • Immersive Experience

Camp out with decision-makers as individuals, fostering connections that bridge differences. Tribal leaders share their expertise, founded on thousands of years of interdependence with the place where the group gathers.

  • Restoration and Reciprocity

Participate in a meaningful restoration project designed by the host Tribe and local partners. Embody the value of reciprocity — giving back to the land and water in a spirit of respect and shared responsibility.

  • Equity Centered and Place Based Learning

Surface locally informed pathways to heal the land and water. Tribes share what they want others to understand about the Tribe and their place. Local partners showcase the power of strong local, cross-sector networks.

  • Systems Change

Discuss insights cultivated during the Gathering, desired systemic changes, collaborative opportunities, policy implications, and ways to expedite resources to expand restorative capacity.

Forest Gatherings transform relationships. The state and federal leaders who participated in the Klamath Gathering left with an entirely different perspective on the capacity, knowledge, and opportunities available when you honor Tribal sovereignty."
